Aloha Parishioners, Visitors, and Faithful Friends of Sts. Peter and Paul Church!
On May 22, 2020, Bishop Larry Silva has granted permission to begin the re-opening of public Masses. With joy and gratitude to God, we are now able to return to our churches!
While the Covid-19 crisis remains a concern, please know that the Bishop has extended the dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass through February 16, 2020 for all faithful in the Diocese of Honolulu. This will allow those who cannot attend Mass to stay home with a clear conscience. As an act of charity, anyone who is sick, who is particularly vulnerable to infection, or is in a high-risk group should not attend Mass at this time. Our parish will also continue the live-stream for Sunday 9am Mass.
The first phase of our parish re-opening will involve many new procedures that all parishioners must follow in order to attend Mass. All our Masses will be limited to 25% capacity to maintain social distancing protocols. While we implement the guidelines presented by Bishop Silva, we kindly ask for your patience and cooperation. These procedures are necessary for the continuing health and safety of all during this global pandemic.
Weekend Mass times at Sts. Peter & Paul will be scheduled as normal:
Please note that we may re-evaluate and change the current Mass schedule in order to allow more time between Masses and/or to accommodate more people to attend Mass. Any changes will be kept updated on our website and sent via Flocknote.
As always, we thank you for your kokua! Let us continue to pray with and for each other. We are trusting the days ahead will be ones of many uplifting joys as we return to worship in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass!
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Fr. Khanh
